Out on stands now is Big Dumb Fun (Oddgod Press), a thick, over-sized anthology featuring two stories by Mr. Jon Adams. The first, a non-Truth Serum tale entitled My New Best Friend. Co-written with author Rebecca Rice, it's the story of nine year-old Jenny, a girl too young and powerless to take control of some rather unpleasant circumstances. But oh, how it's funny. The second story "Name that 'Tume" features everybody's favorite super-powered man Captain Force, chronicling what it's like to be a celebrity in Manchester.
In other news, check out musician Ryan Montbleau's new website. Mr. Adams recently took control of this site, redesigning it and even contributing artwork to it. If you enjoy wasting time, look for a downloadable poster featuring said artwork on the press page. But if you're a busy, busy person with no time to waste, here's the poster right now.

Go spend your money on Jai Nitz and Zach Howard's Heaven's Devils #1 (from Image). In it you'll find a life-changing pin-up by Mr. Adams. You'll also find that pin-up just inches below these words. If you do indeed buy (or even just steal) a copy, you'll notice that Mr. Adams has, quite erroneously, been credited with having designed the Heaven's Devils logo. While it is true that Mr. Adams did in fact design three separate and equally embarassing logos for this book, none were ever used. Although when the book was solicited in Previews it did bear one of them.

You should also pick up a copy of Ryan Montbleau's CD "Stages" which has some exceptionally tedious artwork by Mr. Adams on the back of it.

Oops. Whoever's manning the controls on this thing forgot to mention that on June 25th Star Wars Tales #16 came out. It features the short story "Lunch Break" by the esteemed Mr. Jon Adams. It's a woeful tale of emotional turmoil, as experienced by an angst ridden man who dresses in all black, and is bent on galactic domination.Posted Friday, 7.04.03 | digg | stumbleupon | del.icio.us
The new issue of Sky Ape (from Ait/PlanetLar, and written by Nevermen scribe Phil Amara), then you probably haven't seen the pin-up we did for it. For those too cheap or poor to buy it, we'll save you the trouble.
